desk top keeps going black

every time i reboot i lose my desk top it goes to a plain black back ground i can put a theme on ok but when i restart my computer it goes to a black screen.

Hi Lindon-p,

You might try booting to last known good configuration (F8 while restarting) or do a system restore to a date that you know it worked on.

Did you install anything (programs or updates) or make any changes before this happened?

No programes just changed the theme with vista home prem there no restore points saved unless you save your self last known does not work tried that.

Try setting the theme back to the one you had before.

microsoft have done an update to sort this out it been caused by 1 of there updates and abobe reader 8
