Dell with VISTA doesn't see wireless network

I have a Dell Inspiron 530S with a built in Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n WLAN mini-card. I have a Linksys router (WRT320N). This computer runs VISTA Home Premium (32 bit).

This computer connects to the internet fine as long as it is hardwired to the router. However, it doesn't "see" any networks when I try to get it to connect to the router "wirelessly".

I have 2 other computers running XP that connect to the router fine so I know the router works fine.

The card works fine (I have been on chat with Dell technicians for hours and a technician came to the house this week and verified the card is fine).

It must be a software problem on my VISTA computer but I have no idea what to try next (short of reinstalling the operating system).

Any ideas would be appreciated.

After you installed all the drivers from the install CD for the Dell WLAN Mini-card, did you get any kind of config screen?

The card came installed already on the computer. I have not used the disk to reinstall it.

I guess the next question is, in device manager what does it say about the wireless card and is the wireless card enabled?

The device manager says the device is working properly and the wireless card is enabled.

Have you opened up the Dell Wireless manager softwre for the 1505 Wireless adapter?

1st. Uninstall adapter in Computer management.
2nd. Use Original adapter driver on disc that came with PC to re-install. (When re-installing adapter please disconnect from internet completely). Do not allow adapter to update! Then see if you can connect to internet.
If you can connect to the internet then the update from Microsoft is the issue. If you still cannot connect to the internet then the adapter is dead even though it looks ok.
