Hey everyone,
I have a Dell Studio XPS 1640 Laptop and I have used it for about two years now. I have a laptop cooling fan (by the company Zalman) that sits under my laptop and allows me to play certain videogames without lagging or shutting down. My main reason for this post is to find out what a safe and effective cleaning method would be to clean my laptop (there is no major problem and I just want to clean it since it has been a while that I have used it). I checked the manual for it and it did not seem to have a lot of information about cleaning the laptop so I decided I would post here since online articles are nice but Vista formus has more credibility with me.
I would prefer item suggestions for very simple things such as "rubbing alcohol" or "lint free cloth" and examples such as those since I don't have the best budget to use right now. I already have a compressed air can and I clean out the fans regularly but I want to know more about cleaning the screen, keyboard, and exterior (the glossy top part that now has some smudges that I'd like to get rid of and make my laptop look shiny clean).
Any help or suggestions is appreciated!
