Dell error

I just received a Dell Studio 1523 as a gift. I'm new to Vista and after a couple of days of normal usage a message pops up saying "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the Dell Communications Disk and click OK." I have no CD that says Dell Communications, Dell will not assist unless I pay for technical support (The notebook is 3 days old). My question is, how can I find out what causes this application to run? And obviously, how can can I stop this automated installation? I have no idea what Dell Communications is or why it's needed.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Webcam software issue: Do you Have the Sightspeed Dell Video Chat disk? Or driver/applications disk? It is asking for one of these disks. This is the communications program causing your error I suspect. If not, You can redownload the program for reinstallation here:

Sometimes OEM's do not include driver/application disks with their systems. Instead, there will be a progam located @ Windows Orb (Start>All Programs) for creating the Driver/App disk and for burning it to a disk.

"The Studio laptops will also include a new, easy-to-set up and use communications program, Dell Video Chat. Families and friends can stay in touch using video chat, recording and sending video emails, or even PC-to-PC phone calls around the world. The application supports four-way calling, making virtual family reunions a reality."

Please provide more info regarding what exactly you are trying to do/or program(s) you are trying to access when you get the "insert removable disk message" if the webcam software is not the issue. This is a common issue that occurs when minimum program features are installed instead of the full program/Or when an attempt is made to "repair/reinstall" a program either through the "add/remove programs" Windows utility, or a program's own utility.
