Solved Deleting posts (or thread?)

I posted a reply but could not find it initially so I posted another one. Then I found both (did not know there is page 2). I wanted to delete the first post (the second one being better), but could not. I could not find the "delete" button described in FAQ on the "delete" subject. So I ended up with first post undeleted but edited totally to zero text with a reason: "redundancy".

For neatness sake, I still would like to delete it.

I think post/thread deletion is a priv reserved to forum admin. I can't delete my own threads or posts either.

This I may be able to help with...
It's pretty easy to find your old posts. If you click on the 'Search' button, on the blue bar at the top of every page, then choose 'Advanced Search', it will take you to the advanced search page. On the right side, you can do a search by username. Just enter your own username here, and it will show every thread that you have contributed to, and you can quickly see if there are any new replies. This is like a handy 'View my posts/threads' option for watching threads.

If you need one of your posts deleting, just press the report post button in the top corner of each post and one of the team will deal with it

Thanks, Jam. I knew about this but did not do it initially because I thought I simply messed up. And that's how I eventually found it ...together with the second post. (I thought one messing up is enough..."there's gotta be a reason". Indeed, there was. Turned out, there is page 2)

Now, how about helping me out with deleting my first post?
