Dekstop, Recycle Bin etc. shown as media folder

Hi,

This is driving me a bit nuts. When I open the recycle bin, or display the Desktop or my personal folder in Explorer, vista treats them as media folders (ie, trying to deisplay track name, song length etc). I cant seem to find a way to change this, since the Cusomize Folder option is only available for regular folders and not system folders... any iedas?

Hi Budtz,
Welcome to the forums.

You can right click on the column title bar and select or deselect the columns you want to use for individual folders. Click 'more' at the bottom for a long list of possibilities.

Hi Budtz, and welcome to Vista Forums.

In addition to Gary's post, Method Two in this tutorial will show you how to reset all folder templates to use the All Items (Details) template instead. This will restore those windows you mentioned back to what you wanted.
