Date Set

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my news, we have now set the date for our wedding, its the 25th of August this year! its only a registry office due to lack of money, but more importantly its what we want, we are'nt into all the big do's etc.....with hundreds of friends, its just to declare our love and commitment for each other infront of family and a couple of close friends.

I know I said I was back and although I am around, we are just really busy with things, but I am here in spirit though! :D

Thank you all so much, its my dream come true, never thought in a million years that little old me would ever find my soulmate, let alone get married. Goes to prove that its best not to go forcing it and rather to let things happen naturally :D

That's wonderful news Chris I'm very happy for both of you and may you have many years together.

There's nothing wrong with registry office weddings, my second one was and we've been together now over 30 years. The first wedding was the full traditional church do and only last 11 years.

My daughter had one, due to cost, and is very happy, she still had the traditional wedding dress and a get together for family and friends.

The main thing is that you are together and happy so my best wishes for a wonderful day.

Thanks Joan, I'm sure the day will be delightful and although I am nervous about it already I still cannot wait!! only a three day honeymoon though, because of the kiddies, still need to sort that out plus the rings, and bridesmaids outfits not to mention my fiance's eldest daughters dress. My Fiance also says thank you

For this last bit you may want to sit down! lol but my Fiance's dress cost £18 in Debenhams!!

A true bargain hunter, well done to her.

My daughter bought the first dress she was going to wear on ebay for £10 but then didn't manage to lose quite enough weight after the baby for it to fit plus she was being nagged by the in-laws to get a proper wedding dress so she gave in but still got it from ebay, a £600 gown for, I think it was £60 or there abouts.

She did say after that she was glad she gave in and bought it though.

When I got married the first time I only paid £10 for my dress, sorry but I can't see the point in paying hundreds of pounds for a dress you'll only wear once, money isn't come by that easily

Marriage was something that never entered my mind till i met my wife & it just felt right i didnt have to analyze it tip it upside down or inside out it was just meant to be.
My wife is my best friend & when she is not around i feel like part of me is missing

It feels great doesn't it when it just happens like that, before I used to always try to force the issue but never got anywhere, and my girl says my charm on msn did it for her lol so for me I am better writing than speaking.

I just used to go red and make bad mistakes face to face, so gave that up, went through a period of misery in that I had no-one and would never be happy, and now look, getting married!!!
