Does anyone know if there are dangers in downloading the d3drm.dll file? I'm, wondering if it may corrupt some other files or programmes later on?....

See Problem loading game on new computer - I suspect you're running to a similar problem, and that thread has *some* answers. The best is to download from the link 4th from the bottom post, or else follow the 3rd from bottom and / or bottom post for info.

I believe the d3drm.dll file it part of the DirectX subsystem, Checkout this thread for downloading the http://www.vistax64.com/gaming/162064-latest-directx-update.html
