The currency calculator in my side bar has worked fine for the last year now suddenly will not conect and shows "bad number" how do I get it back to normal. All help appreciated

Welcome to Vista Forums.
You could try doing a sys. restore to a point before it stopped working. Info here if needed:

Also you could try uninstalling the gadget and then reinstalling.

Was the gadget use internet to display the results, If so the service of the site which supported the gadget may have some problem.
