CPU issue

Hey well i just got my rig at christmas, the specs are in the sig thing, and well it's 2.1ghz tri core now so i wanted to OC it a little bit. i went to the bios and turned my FSB to 200 to 215, booted up windows and everything worked fine, so i opened CPU-Z and it was on 2.2ghz, but my cpu was making a noise louder then before, so i went back into the bios and checked the temps, it was 43.c from 40.c before the oc so the temps were fine , i reset the fsb to 200 and the noise went away, i dont know if this is normal or what.. my first time overclocking.

Your noise could be just that the fan is now going faster than before, hence, making more noise than before, or is this a noise that has nothing to do with fans running at higher rpm?

no its not the fan, i can hear the processer
trust me its not the fan...

In order to produce sound air has to be moved; thereby creating a sound wave. A cpu has no moving parts... not to mention, it's sealed.

Take the side panel off the case, recreate the sound, try and isolate where it's coming from.
