Hello again, I've just tried to restore my system, but it's showing the icon faded out in the eRecovery Management window, does anyone know why? I haven't created a backup on disc because it won't complete, in fact, it won't even start! I've waited for over an hour and it stays on 0% completed. When I load the program, I get an error message: Unhandled exception has occurred in your application... Requested service not found. Details: just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.Runtime.Remoting.RemotingException: Requested Service not found Server stack trace: at System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.BinaryServerFormatterSink.ProcessMessage(IServerChannelSinkStack sinkStack, IMessage requestMsg, ITransportHeaders requestHeaders, Stream requestStream, IMessage& responseMsg, ITransportHeaders& responseHeaders, Stream& responseStream) Exception rethrown at [0]: at System.Runtime.Remoting.Proxies.RealProxy.HandleReturnMessage(IMessage reqMsg, IMessage retMsg) at System.Runtime.Remoting.Proxies.RealProxy.PrivateInvoke(MessageData& msgData, Int32 type) at eRecovery.RemoteServerInterface.IeRecoveryService.IsBitLockerPartitionLayout(String& BootMgrVolume, String& BootLodrVolume) at eRecoveryKernel.SystemConfigClass.IsBitlockPartitionSystem() at eRecoveryKernel.eRecoveryKernel.ProcessSystemInfoMessage(Int32 wParamValue, Int32 lParamValue) at eRecoveryKernel.eRecoveryKernel.WndProc(Message& msg) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3074 (QFE.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- eRecoveryMain Assembly Version: 3.0.3.14 Win32 Version: 3.0.3.14 CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Acer/Empowering%20Technology/eRecovery/eRecoveryMain.exe ---------------------------------------- Framework.Utility Assembly Version: 3.0.3009.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.3009 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Framework.Utility/3.0.3009.0__4df5dcab8860d239/Framework.Utility.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- Framework.Utility.CommonFunctions Assembly Version: 3.0.3009.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.3009 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Framework.Utility.CommonFunctions/3.0.3009.0__770d2a375f176870/Framework.Utility.CommonFunctions.dll ---------------------------------------- Framework.Library Assembly Version: 3.0.3009.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.3009 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Framework.Library/3.0.3009.0__3036420f80dd6947/Framework.Library.dll ---------------------------------------- eRecovery.RemoteServerInterface Assembly Version: 3.0.3014.14 Win32 Version: 3.0.3014.14 CodeBase: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Acer/Empowering%20Technology/eRecovery/eRecovery.RemoteServerInterface.DLL ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- Framework.Model.ControllerInterface Assembly Version: 3.0.3009.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.3009 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Framework.Model.ControllerInterface/3.0.3009.0__d842b71b4d6ed079/Framework.Model.ControllerInterface.dll ---------------------------------------- System.ServiceProcess Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.ServiceProcess/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.ServiceProcess.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Management Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3053 (netfxsp.050727-3000) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Management/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Management.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled. For example: When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box. Then it locks up my DVD drive and it won't open it til I restart the machine. I've tried the button and telling it to eject in my computer but nothing happens, only another error: An error occurred while ejecting 'BD-ROM Drive F'. I need this clean for tomorrow, with no more bloody glitches and errors in it, I really am starting to think seriously about Apple replacing Microsoft in my computing life! Many thanks all!
