When I start Internet Explorer I get this message (see image below). Everything seems to work okay but you never know what might be happening in the background. When I try to run Chkdsk it says that I will need to schedule a task to run at startup. I scheduled this and nothing happens at startup.
Also, when I go to see if I can find \Users\......\Windows\Cookies... the cookies folder isn't there (and I have my file properties to show hidden files). But, when I try to create a new folder called "Cookies" it says that folder already exist.
This orginally started when I installed AIM (about a month ago and it was showing the exact message except instead of ieuser.exe it said aim.exe) but it wasn't doing it with IE until about a week ago. I uninstalled AIM hoping that this would stop it but it didn't.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have been all over forums and found similar situations but no one really know how to fix this.
Thanks!
