"Contact" on web pages not working

I have searched the forum and am unable to find a similar problem. When attempting to send an email via a link on a website nothing happens and there's no error message to give a clue as to the problem. This has only happened very recently. Am using Mozilla latest version.

And here is the answer to the problem;

Type 'about:config' (without the quotes), into the URL bar n hit enter.
In the 'Filter' bar at the top, copy n paste the 'network.protocol-handler.external.mailto' in.(without quotes).
Check if it's set to 'True'. If it's set to 'False', highlight n select 'Toggle'.
Close the tab.
