Consent.exe spam failure?

So there I was, infront of my computer about to install some software on my computer that I was missing, I opened the folder where the install file was and dubble clicked it like every other human being would do, the folder stops answering and I am wondering if that's just gonna take a while to load, after half an hour of loading the not-answering folder window I pushed ctrl-alt-delete, went to my joblist and disabled the folder that way.

Shortly after my folder finally is closed I feel some heavy delay on the computer so I checked my prossesses that my computer was running and it was not normal.

Normal uptime running prossesses: ~80
At that very moment after closeing folder: ~106

Around 26 that was the same, the name was "Consent.exe"

Now this must be a failure somewhere in the system and I would like to know if there has been created a solution, an update, software what not, that can fix this so it does not do it again, my computer was heating up and could burn down after 2 hours I bet.

I made a screenshot when I had the consent.exe spam up, if you feel safe on photobucket you should check it out for my proof.

P.S. I am useing 32 bit home if you havnt noticed and I came to the 64bit forum by googleing into the consent.exe to see if anyone else had any problems alike. But didn't find any. :/

I did not install the software as it couldnt run either, it did not even open.
I am installing from the admin user and I've tried (since it was a old version) to run it in Windows XP condition did not succeed either.

However I've meet this issue before with not being able to install stuff on my computer, it is not very happy for it.

I do think theres something wrong with the rams or graphic card aswell because sometimes it is lagging very much, mainly in games and I am useing 4G ddr2 and GeForce 8600GS so should be fine and got lots of space left on the computer overall and ofc. useing quad-core processor. So I dunno if I should blame the graphic card and rams or if it may be an issue in my Vista Premium 32bit

Then it wouldn't seem to be the malware version have you had this problem long? you could maybe try a system restore http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/194765-system-recovery-options.html?ltr=S
If this doesn't sort the problem it may be best to do a new install, or if you have no DVD look at the options in the above link

I have no dvd and I have had this lagg issue ever since I got the computer.

I understand what you mean, it should run quite nicely.

How old is it? maybe you can get it fixed under warranty

It doesn't sound like a hardware problem.

I still think that a complete system restore might help, I presume that you have an image on your HDD. You need a place to start from to try and sort this out, after that check all drivers, check that you have the latest BIOS.

You could check in the case that it is not full of dust that could account for it running warm.

The computer is half a year old, no dust that could cause it anyhow warm and it havnt tried to heat up yet, eventho it sounded pretty much it could overheat at that consent.exe issue I had but restarted it fast enough. Anyhow I will post further if I see any changes and will post after I have used the "tool"
