Connecting PC to TV Failure

Hi Everybody,

I have a Dell Vista PC and am trying to connect it to an LCD Samsung TV. Using a VGA Cable.

Thing is I cannot seem to configure the two to communicate.

I have tried to change the resolution in Display Settings and the Nvidia control panel, but no secondary display is recognized.

I am very close to tears so could someone please help me out - thanks.
