I installed it a few days ago. The updater stuck at 30%. Uninstalled.

I agree it's for advanced users, I have installed only firewall component as I use NOD32 AV, working as a charm.

You can also try Online Armor, they've just released v4 (free).

I've been using Avira AntiVir Personal Free for about 7 months and really like it as long as you get use to the pop-ups about upgrading to their Pro version. The free version works very well with Vista x64 SP2.
