code 39 error

I have windows vista 32 bit os on a Hewlet Packard computer
My sound icon has a red x by it,on opening the sounds box it says I have no audio devices installed.
In device manager both microsoft kernel drm audio descrambler and Realtek HD audio have yellow triangle with exclamation mark. On trying to update I am told I have latest drivers available.In properties it says code 39 cannot locate may be corrupt or missing.I have tried uninstalling, reinsatlling new driver from realtek all to no avail.I have run checkdisk and scannow with no errors reported any ideas

Give this a try, its from MS, so it may work.

Already tried this but did so again my computer will not load the update so cannot succesfully load windows power shell
