I have allowed someone access to connect to my home wireless by giving them the wireless password... however i now want to remove this password from their computer so that they can no longer connect... their computer is windows vista... any ideas thanks in advance.

go into network and sharing center, click on "manage wireless networks" in the tasks on the left, select the network you wish to remove, press remove at the top, job done. your friend will no longer automatically connect to your network, and the password will not be on their machine either.

As per the above suggestion, alternatively change the password on your router/AP.

Another option is to set up your router to only respond to certian MAC addresses. I can control who can access my wireless by accept/deny options on the router.

All the PC/laptops in my house are setup by thier MAC address. Other can see the router but cannot attach. This works for PC's, Laptops, IPOD's, Iphones.. any LAN/WAN device.

Nice thing is, a friend comes over the weekend, you dont have to hand out passwords or security codes. Add the MAC.. when they leave.. either delete it or simply deny it.. then when they come back .. you already have them setup.. just allow it.

Hope this helps...

i dont have access to the router. I'm on a university network, and am nothing but a lowly student, not to be trusted by the IT staff's PTB
