I have vista home edition 64 bit with civ 4 installed. I keep getting the error "Cannot locate the CD-ROM Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application. I have the first disc in just like I did when I played this game on my XP system. I have tried running it in XP SP2 compatibility mode. I have tried installing Direct-X 9. I have tried installing the patch 1.61. It always gives me the same error. What am I doing wrong?

firaxis are a bit numb when it comes to copyright protection, they have made a game that cannot be played, apparently the only way to fix this problem is by making your computer think that theres a cd/dvd rom drive with the game in the drive, even when there isnt. And in NO WAY do i condone this method, but its the only solution i could find, you need to get a NOCD crack to play the game using daemon tools. I wouldnt know where to start as i dont use copied games so you will need to read up on it.
