Changing Startup Animation

So the glowing orb startup animation has begun to bug me. I'd like to change it to the Pentium 4 animation, but I understand that the glowing orb is a series of 5 pictures. Is there a method that an animated clip could be used in place of these?

An animation like that is usually a (.gif) file.
So if you are looking to replace that animation you most likely want to replace it with a .gif file.

Thanks Sean. That animation had me confused as I understood it was five .png files, which are not animated.

By any chance can you tell me where these .png files are located? I would like to take a look.

Supposedly, they are in "authui.dll." This is simply information gathered from the source I had. I haven't gone and experienced these myself.

You can use resource hacker to look inside dll's. Just be very careful.
