CDfxsdk error in Vista 64 for mp3s

Hi all,

I've got vista 64 bit, and am using either Media Player or Yahoo Music to play my mp3s.

unfortunately I get the annoying popup:

Cdfxsdk Message:

DFX SDK Evaluation Expired

The mp3s still play.
I have no idea what this DFX thing is, why I have it, or how to remove/fix it.

Can anyone help?

A computer search has turned up nothing...

Thanks,

Rob

I think you are getting this error coz either you(or someone using ur PC) installed the DFX Plugin and its trial has expired.

Go to the plugin section in WMP to remove it or remove it from Control Panel>Add Remove Programs and you'll be fine.

Thanks!

I think I found it. There was no explicit plugin with this feature, and there was no add/remove option.

But, I removed the media player plugin for yahoo jukebox, and MSN messenger, and the messages have now stopped.

It must have been something to do with one of them.

Perhaps it was a problem giving the "now playing" info to messenger.

Thanks for the help.
