maybe someone can help me with my problem of my cd dvd rom not working when i pit in a cd or dvd it will not run,,the green light goes on, it begings to sart then nothing happens..its like its not even installed i go to the device manager and the cd dvd rom is not even listed, i was alttempting to re install the driver ?? i am running vista home premeium x64 bit i have an hp lap top hp pavillian 9725 nr PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME THIS THIS PROBLEM, IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.. and it use to work just fine

I would start out by removing the drive and reinstalling it, making sure all connections are secure. Also, maybe go into the bios and see if it is visable there.
