Cd/DVD Drive not working

I have a TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D ATA drive and the laptop is a Dell e1505. One day I put a CD in and nothing happened! I tried almost all my Cds but every time drive's the light would blink green, stop and then nothing would happen. I can't even burn CD's anymore. Has anyone encountered this problem before? How'd you fix it?

Hello simplefaithzee,
Go to the Device Manager and see if it is recognised there, if it is, un-install it and reboot.

You can also try this fix, try the "FIX IT" feature first, if that does not do it, try the manual option.

The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that you upgraded to Windows Vista
