14 arrested after Facebook tips cops to Neb. party

PAPILLION, Neb. (AP) - Fourteen people were arrested after police were tipped off to a massive house party in Papillion by a posting on the social networking-site Facebook.
According to the posting, the party was to start at 9 p.m. Saturday and continue until 5 a.m. It was to include a DJ, photographer and shuttle service.
The posting also indicated that the host had a police scanner and would have advance notice if authorities were alerted.

I don't think it's fair for them to use such tools in order to incriminate people... but I've always thought they probably did - thanks for clarifying it for me.

people were arrested...means they were breaking laws.
why aren't we talking negatively about the law breakers instead of the law enforcers?

I remember reading posts to newsgroups around 1993, read by thousands of people, that talked about various criminal acts, and the idiots said they would never be caught. They were caught due to their posts.

They busted a party involving underage drinkers here a while back. Someone posted the party on the net and once the party got going good the cops showed up. Not much common sense I guess. LOL.
