windows update is nice but sometimes i simply want it to go away, in XP this was possible through (command prompt) "net stop "automatic updates". but now if i try this (net stop "windows update") on vista it just says "system error 0005: access is denied."
what type of Operating system doesn't let you have full and unrestricted access to your computer?!?
does anyone know how to get around this
yes im admin
i've tried ending it in task manager, just comes back
