can't send using windows mail...

Good day!

I just set-up my windows live mail account today but i can't send.

the error message is this:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'testing windows mail!', Account: '127.0.0.1', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

can anyone help? thank you

Exchange Server client receives an error message when it tries to send or receive e-mail: "Socket error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800ccc0e"
This seems pretty close description of ur issue. Do check the possible solution, if you wont able to resolve with it, please post aditional info about this account ur trying to setup.

Hi Haeja and welcome to Vista Forums!

Reading this (Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25) I think you have uncorrectly set up SMTP server, unless your PC is running an SMTP service (127.0.0.1 stands for "local host").
