Cant save, file locked or in use

Having owned a Vista laptop for a few weeks and not had any problems one has just appeared. I have three photo editing software programmes installed. i can not save any image that i have edited.The most common error message is "Could not save jpeg because file is locked". I have tried saving using Save As but get get a denied message saying " You don't have permission to save files on this network.."

I have full administration privilege's but can not ot get around the problem,

Hope some one can help with this problem.

You may Have User corruption, and now the system no longer recognizes your User Admin Account as having the proper ownership "credentials", or the networked folder/file in question does not allow you to change data on it and is "read Only". this has to be fixed under "sharing".

Try using the built in admin account to see if it works, if so than you will have to take Ownership of the files/folders/drive in question, If not, then it may be a folder sharing issue that you need to change on the host machine so you can write to it. If none of these solve the issue you may need to restore/repair/re-install Windows to resolve the corruption issue.
Sometimes this can occur if you transfer files from a passsword protected User Account to another (xp to Vista), If it has been EFS encrypted and you restore the system, or if you use registry cleaners that corrupted the User account/windows files. It is less likely, but possible that malware caused the corrruption if it was allowed through UAC.
