i've been having problems running catalyst control center or amd vision engine on vista ultimate x64.. for some reason it just wont show the ccc window.. but i know it is running because it is shown on the taskbar/notification area..

i've installed the latest version of ccc (ver.11.5 released may 9th) on a fresh install of vista ultimate 64..

after installing the catalyst, the system prompted me that i need to install .net framework 3.5.. so i did.. but then, no luck when i tried to run the catalyst.

this version of ccc is also what im currently using on win7.. and it runs perfectly.

can anyone give me some advise on tips and tricks or maybe show me an old thread in this forum that could help? i tried to search the forum but i didnt get any match..

thanks in advance..

Hi,

Have you taken the time to ensure your computer is fully windows updated from the fresh install?

I ask this as that update should come through automatically!

Hi again,

I would install all updates (Including SP's & the others) except drivers for a third party devices i.e Video card or network card etc.

That said if it is for a MS mouse or MS keyboard etc. (Microsoft hardware) I would install them. OK?
