An Error as:

xxxx file could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct.

The file path is fixed due the email program ( Eudora ) and you can see the attachment as " available " but can not open it.

The file is saved on OCULT FILES, inside of USERS......

How this can be fixed ????

Is there an option in Eudora to move the location of attachments?

Yes...
And i have it set up to:

C: Program Files (x86)/Eudora/Attach09

if you point the cursor over the attachment it shows the above metioned path, but when you go to that folder there is nothing in there...

But for some reason the files are being saved in
c:Users/La viajera/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/Eudora/Attach09

I have unistalled the Eudora and installed again in different folder and same problem

My Computer

Sorry, I don't have Eudora and it's difficult helping without having the program...

Re: Can't open attachments (when trying to store them under Program Files)

I have it set up to [store my data in]
C:/Program Files (x86)/Eudora/Attach09

If you point the cursor over the attachment it shows the above mentioned path,
but when you go to that folder there is nothing in there...

But for some reason the files are being saved in
c:Users/La viajera/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/Eudora/Attach09

I have uninstalled the Eudora and installed again in different folder and same problem
The problem is your attempt to keep your user "data" under "Program Files,"
which Vista's security successfully prevents all your applications (including Eudora) from modifying,
diverting all file writing to your "VirtualStore" folders.

In other words, you chose a path for your data which is invalid under Vista.

Here is the explanation (and solution) from Eudora's forums:
http://eudorabb.qualcomm.com/announcement.php?a=13

Eudora is reported to work quite well under Vista, including 64-bit,
other than when installed with this improper location for user data.

Best wishes.
