Can't install software

I've tried to install the sims on my new laptop and it says that theres less then the required amount of GB RAM. Its a brand new notebook with nothing on it apart from virus software. apparently im meant to have 4 GB RAM. my computer thinks i only have 64 mgs?

They are talking about video memory, not ram. If you tell us what computer you have we can look it up for you

I have a HP Pavilion dv6. You would think my computer would be able to run a computer game. how do i get more memory?
