Hi,
I'm using Windows Vista and yesterday I could access the internet, but this morning I couldn't.
I've got a "nvidia nforce networking controller". I've noticed that when the computer starts up, the network card (where the cable goes in) flashes red once but after nothing flashes. I've checked in the Device Manager and it says the card is working properly. When I go to the network interface it says there's no cable connected even though it is. I've checked the cable with another computer and it works fine on that computer.
I used Lavalys' Everest software to figure out that the chipset is "nvidia nforce 6100-405". I've downloaded the latest release (http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-wi...ql-driver.html) and installed it but there's no change. I still can't access the internet.
What more can I do? I'd rather not reinstall Vista or buy Windows 7 so please refrain from suggesting that.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
mistept
