Cannot rename Files Vista 32bit OS

Wonder if anyone can help with what seems like the most basic of problems Im having. Recently have used a registry cleaner and pretty much since that I cannt rename my files eg music file itelf cannot be renamed apart from the defaul name of "New Folder" have right clicked into properties changed it applied and it just goes back to "New Folder" no error message or anything any ideas????

This is why you don't use a registry cleaner prior to reading about the entires it presents you as being 'wrong' first.

The registry cleaner program should have a resote option or keep backups somewhere, check the program and restore the deleted entrys..
