Cannot load hive file???

Hello
I just built a computer this night, and when i booted it up, it ran smooth for about 10 minutes. i just remember getting comfortable then looking up and the screen was black. i left it alone for a minute but eventually reset it. now it ALWAYS takes me to the "Windows failed to boot..." blah blah you know start windows normal, safe mode, etc. i have tried all those, but it always loads for a minute and then says something about not loading the "hive" file and dumping physical memory. but the screen flashes so fast i cant read it. then it reboots and does the whole thing over and over. now keep in mind, i built this so i used Windows Vista Basic for Builders. i tried to start my computer with the system disk in it, but it did nothing. im getting rather frustrated...

PLEASE help. this computer COULD be a beast, if only it would work...

if it is somehow possible run a chkdsk on your hdd if you chose safe mode with command promt you should be able to to this or if a boot cd something liek the WT DVD or the ultimate boot cd

another thing you can do is try and boot with the option disable automatic retsart on system failure the maybe you can do a little touble shooting and try to getthe dump file
How to read the small memory dump files that Windows creates for debugging

and here is a kb on the problem "The Registry cannot load the hive"

see i cant even get a command promt. i have tried every choice it gives me like safe mode and safe mode with networks, and last good boot or whatever. i am given no control. i wish i could just wipe the whole thing. i tried looking for something like that in the system settings (i think thats what its called, just when you hit delete while the system is loading) but i couldnt find any kind of master clear. idk. it wont boot off my system disk either, it just ignores it.

Try use System Restore by using Vista DVD http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76256-system-restore-undo.html
(METHOD ONE)

But it won't be strange if backing to previous any check point also no help

nd then says something about not loading the "hive"
It could be also trouble with permissions for any registry keys (System Restore don't fix permissions) or you have registry corrupted (in this option System Restore maybe you help although not always -if you have registry very seriously damaged it may will turn out Vista DVD reject use System Restore)

My Computer

i figured it out. i didnt have my boot priority to the disk drive, so it was booting up my drivers from the hard drive first, crashing the system. i booted it and reinstalled everything. now everything is running good. thanks guys!
