Cannot install updates

This morning when I tried to install an update to Piriform Defraggler from FileHippo I got this error message

Two days ago, I was having trouble with my keyboard not functioning properly and after I got that sorted I did a full diskcheck; I noticed that in the summary it said that Windows had made alterations to the file system and compacted the security stream(at least that is a rough idea of what it said ! ).
My computer is working absolutely fine in all respects but I cannot install software updates. I have run a Malwarebytes quick scan and it found nothing untoward and I disabled and then re-enabled User Account Control. I am the administrator of this computer and there are no other users. I should be very grateful for any suggestions !!

Thank you for your help. I have now fixed the problem, I restarted in Safe mode and was able to install the update. I then rebooted and checked my firewall which had blocked the update. All is now running OK . Thanks again.

York,
One of my habits in obtaining updates is to right click on(example) Malwarebytes and run as Administrator then download the updates.

I do that with SAS, CCleaner, MBAM and even MS when the send out updates.
With MS updates I download all the small ones first then the larger updates I download them one at a time.
So far the method has worked beautiful for me.
Might want to give it a go and see if it works for you. IMHO
THW
