Can not connect to the internet

I am currently setting up a Gaming Cafe. I have 9 identical computers. I made a ghost of one computer to put onto all of them and they all started up and booted just fine. Except one... The bastard of the group... I am running a 64 bit vista.

The Problem:
I can not connect to the internet. Simple as that, but not so simple. Every other computer works just fine and I can connect to the internet just fine.

What I have done

  • So far, I check the router settings to see if that was the issue but everything is good there.
  • Check the ipconfig / released and renewed.
  • Checked the cable to see if it was a bad cable
  • Got another hard drive from one of the other computers and booted it up and it is doing the same thing
  • Checked every other setting I could within the network stuff
  • Put in another lan card into the computer and plug into that

What I think it is
I think that it is a hardware issue, but I am not for sure. The computer is not acting funny other than it has no internet. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

What router/switch are you using?

Are you allowing your router/switch to act as a DHCP server?

Are you operating any off-router, hardware or software firewall?

Are all machines 64bit?

I am assuming every machine is hardwired to the LAN?

if YES to the last two, try taking the cable out of a machine with verified internet access, and plugging that cable into the machine in question. That will rule out a bad CAT5 cable and the very slim chance of a bad port on your router/switch.
