Is it possible to tell Firefox or IE which network adapter or connection to use? (i.e. IE use network connection 1 and firefox use network connection 2)

Thanks!

It is not possible. The decisions on what route to take happen at a lower level than the applications operate.

The only way to do this would be to setup an http proxy for each browser that only new how to go out the desired path. Seems like a lot of work....

No you cannot at this time... I'm going to pressure Firefox to have it in there next dot release....
Vuze however does have the ability to do this... (Vuze being a similar program from programming perspective) Vuze is also built using a high level language that requires JNI (access to a slightly lower level language) to work this miracle. However if memory serves Firefox is pure C++ so it should have the capabilities just not the code.

Sorry side winder but the kernel is HIGHER level even though it is usually built with lower level programming languages.
