Burning photos

I do a lot of photography and when I want to burn photos to a disk at home from my my laptop which runs on Vista and then bring the photos to view here at work which runs on Windows 2000, it does not read the disk and the message says invalid path.

So far, I have had not one client say they couldn't view the photos. It seems tobe just my computer here at work. Does anyboy know why this could be happening?

A second question is why does it take almost 2 hours to burn simple photos. I may tr to burn 350 400 but when I burn here at work, using Nero, it may only take 15 minutes.

Thanks.

What program are you doing it in? I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio to make slide show DVDs, they play on most DVD players and computers with no issues. Can you play it in your Vista computer? Number of files should not matter on speed just burning them. If you are encoding a video dvd, it can take 2-6 hours.

System One

  • CPU
pair of Intel E5430 quad core 2.66 GHz Xeons
    Motherboard
    Supermicro X7DWA-N server board
    Memory
    16GB DDR667
    Graphics card(s)
eVGA 8800 GTS 640 MB video card
    Hard Drives
    SAS RAID
At home, I use the Windows program that came with Vista. Usually I just copy from one folder to the disk and it appears to burn. But when getting to work, no go. I can view the photos on my vista computer once they have been burned to the disk
