Burning CD's no information when playing on other devices

I burn cd's that are not protected content (i.e. not from I-Tunes). My cd played in my car or on my home stereo doesn't recognize the songs or the album and artist after I burn them. Does anyone know how to get the songs and artist/album onto the cd's I burn?
