BSOD please help
So my computer is a little old, I have had some issues in the past with ram and the bsod but a return to factory settings helped, I was fine for a while I've had vertical lines followed by freezing after start up and upon logging in and the blue screenof death, I had returned my computer to it's original factory settings but the problem has started again I seem to be fine after a restart from safe mode
any help would be appreciated.

My pc is an HP model a6512p/G33/G31 Express chipset family/4 gigs of ram/
I have Norton 360 installed as a antivirus
Running my computer in safe mode everything seems fine
I have vista 64bit sevice pack 2 with all of the important updates nd optional updates installed
Running sfc /scannow
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
I am not sure what to look for in the CBS log that may be a cause of the problem.
