BSOD

Hello, my computer has slowed right down to a stop and I hoped somebody could help me.

On the 3rd Dec I was running word and spotify simultaneously and my computer slowed right down until every program stopped working and eventually I had to restart. On restarting my computer it took a while to boot up but then worked for another half an hour before blue screening and turning off. It wouldn't turn back on so I left it for the night.

Last night I tried my computer again, it was very slow but working, however it started crashing every ten mins or so, and on restart and selecting safe mode it was still slow (takes at least 3 mins to open "computer" folder, would not recognise USB stick in drive etc).

It seems to be overheating but once cooled will work again for another ten mins or so before crashing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(Apologies for the messy files, my work PC won't allow me to create .zip files)

If you received a BSOD we need the minidmp file, which you did not provided to us. That being said, from your post it seems that you gave us the cause of your problem, overheating. If you can download speedfan and give us the actual reading while in use. If you are overheating the first place to start is to clean the dust out of your computer. This requires your blowing out the fan and all sorrounding areas.

Thank you for your help. I ran that programme as advised to find all the files -the ones attached are all it gave to me. I can't download anything onto my computer now as it won't turn on anymore. I will clean the fans out again but as they are they seem perfectly clean.

When you say your computer wont turn on, do you mean it shuts itself off or wont turn on at all?
