BSOD

Hi guys,

I'm currently using a dell inspiron 1520 with windows vista home premium, service pack 2 on a 32-bit OS. I’ve been having problems with a BSOD and was hoping someone could help? I’ve updated my drivers, performed a virus scan and disabled caching & shadowing in BIOS.
I followed the instructions on the SF diagnostic tool and uploaded the ZIP folder. Please let me know if you need anything else.

The error comes up as:

KERNEL – STACK_
INPAGE_ERROR
hard/software install
*** STOP: 0X00000077
(C0XC0000185 0XC0000185 0X00000000 0X021F7000)

Thanks,

martay

Welcome
Mary,
Your reports indicate potential memory problems. Use memtest86 to test memory. If negative we will give a driver verifier to see if it actually a driver problem. For now, I am leaning toward hardware.
The last 3 reports, all indicate memory. Take a memory test.
Run for 8 passes.
Run memtest for 8 passes
Then test each individual stick in a good slot for 6 passes.
If you have dual channel, the results may be incorrect, if shows pass.
