BSOD Problem

About 1 or 2 months ago me and my boyfriend decided to play Special Force Online (philippines) so we downloaded it from the site. When we are about to play the game, it ran slow so we asked some of our friends as to what maybe the reason why. One of them mentioned that we should try on updating my pc's video card as it may have been the cause of the game running slow, and this was when all the BSOD started!! T_T

I would get random BSOD's for about 5 or more times a day! It's so frustrating :( may it be playing, just surfing the net or NOTHING! PLS HELP ME!

Here is my pc's information:

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @2.00GHz 2.00GHz
Memory(RAM): 1023 MB
System Type: 32-bit Operating System

My display driver: Radeon X1650 Series
Driver Provider: ATI Technologies Inc.
Driver Date: 3/12/2008
Driver Version: 8.474.0.0

(I know it's not a high-end pc but i USED to love it!:(

Also, I've read here on the internet about System Restore, i tried it but NOTHING happened! oh, and i would also like to mention that i am a newbie at computer stuff, just an average user so pls slow down on some of computer- terms thank you!!

THANK YOU!

I received your message that you were not helped. The reason is that you were impatient and kept posting. It appeared to me that you were getting a lot of answers, so I did not even check your thread. In the future be patient and just wait you will be helped. That being said sorry for the delay.

The reports that you have submitted reveal clues to the cause of your problem. They do not give a definitive answer. The more reports that we receive the more clues are made available improving our chances of finding a solution to your problem. You may have to experience several more BSODs until the final answer is discovered.

If overclocking restore normal settings

SFC /scannow
System Files - SFC Command

Scan with your Anti Virus

Update outdated listed drivers. If I have inadvertently listed any Microsoft Drivers, they can be ignored. If the list is extensive I have included the driver verifier test so that you may determine which drivers are in need of immediate attention.

How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- The most common drivers are listed on this page: http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html
To remove any left over driver remnants, especially from graphics cards, use driver sweeper

Hello again. As i have said, i will post again if i am having difficulties. The realtek device that is installed in my system is Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)

I understand that i should update this by going to the Realtek website. However, upon searching the site i discovered that there's no available downloaded update driver for this.

So i searched in Google and This site appeared HP® - Laptops, Desktop, Printers, Servers, and more

It's a Hp Site. I was wondering if the offered driver download here is okay? I mean, is it my right choice? Sorry for the inconvenience everyone, just trying to fix my pc.. Thank you!

Yes it was custom made. There are computer shops here wherein you could have your own pc by them assembling the parts according to your budget. The report will come right away as soon as its finished.

This is giving me a headache. I have a question, will reformatting solve the problem? I honestly can't fix this on my own so i think i should consult this to computer programmers.. I have talked to one and he said he'll reformat it. Will it make any sense? Thank you for all the effort but, I guess i just can't do it alone.. :(
