Bsod 8gb ram

Hi all, I have been having alot of BSOD with 8GB ram installed on my mobo and I have ran test after test to figure out which sticks r causing the problem, but it's saying that potentially 3 out of the 4 sticks maybe corrupt...but the pc was running fine for 6months, and I dont see how ram can suddenly go bad like that (especially 3 sticks)
So I searched for similar problems and I found out that I may have the wrong voltage settings and latency timings. Does any1 know how to configure this mobo with 8GB RAM??
My RAM is Corsair 4096-6400C5 800MHz (2GB)
My Motherboard is Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe wifi

Thanks

RAM can go bad for many different reasons - that's why they have warranties.
Motherboards can also fail for many different reasons also.

Failing memory tests can be due to problems with the slots on the motherboard - so a more rigorous testing protocol is called for.

Test the one good stick in each of the slots individually (with none of the other sticks installed). That'll give you an idea if it's the slots or not.

Make sure that the system is unplugged from the wall (and if it's a laptop, make sure the battery is out). Then open up the case and ground yourself by holding onto the metal of the case. Keep holding the metal of the case as much as possible when removing the sticks - this will help to keep static discharge from frying the chips.

Take one off RAM sticks out and test the RAM with Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool and if it fails take another one out and mark them if u think there bad or good and keep testing until u find out witch ones are bad, The other thing is check your MOBO RAM computability chart and make sure that your MOBO is compatible with your RAM, ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

I read sumwhere that the bios settings may need some fine tweaking in the latency timings, fsb, northibridge voltage etc!
The person had the same problem as me and when he configured the RAN properly he got no more errors when running hci memtest!

You can tweak the timings in the BIOS - if your BIOS supports this. I gave up memory tweaking long ago and I stick with what the BIOS tells me. When in doubt I check with the memory manufacturer to see what they recommend - but the BIOS settings are usually right on for me.

That being said, you're right that others have had success doing this. But I'd still recommend that tests to ensure that you're not trying to tweak a broken module.

I'ce contacted corsair for the correct settings so i'll try those and run hci memtest again....if I still get errors then I'll know it's faulty RAM
