BSOD - 0xd1 (Assistance is needed, please)

Hello VistaForums users.
This is my first post on here and I am in dire need of help with a fix for my computer.

I got a bluescreen earlier with the bug check string: Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal.

The bug check code was 0xd1.

I've seen a few forum threads on here where people are helped with identifying which driver is causing problems and I was wondering if anyone could assist me with that. :)

EDIT: My computer also freezes randomly from time to time or restarts by itself.

Thanks
Melon

Specs:
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit.
GeForce 9600M GS
Intel Pentium T4200 (dualcore, 2,0gHz)
4gb ram

Without seeing the details of the error, it's hard to get an idea what is causing it.

Computer freezes and random restarts could be due to your graphics card overheating or just plain going bad. You may or may not get a BSOD in these cases. Have you updated the driver lately?

As I understand it, if you run sigverif.exe, you will get a list of unsigned drivers. You can then shut down each associated program one by one until you find one that is causing a problem. I ran it and it didn't find any unsigned drivers so, I'm not sure what the screen looks like.

Please continue with the advice that others have posted. My advice is in addition to what has already been posted.

Please provide this information for a more detailed reply from me: http://www.vistax64.com/crashes-debugging/282419-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

You do not have SP2 installed. Please visit Windows Update and get all available updates (to include SP2). Instructions on how to ensure a trouble free install of SP2 are here: Learn how to install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Also, you have many older drivers. Please visit the PC Manufacturer's website and update ALL of your drivers from there.

Should you continue to have BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

There is a possibility that this is a hardware problem - so we may have to run hardware diagnostics after you've done all the above updating. Please post back with your results and we can move on from there.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs
