hey vista forums,

when i installed windows vista and i checked my documents to see when vista was installed, it said 9/24/2010 around 8 30 PM

and the time was around 930 pm when i checked the BOOTSECT.BAK file in the C drive. and BOOTSECT.BAK said it was created at 9/24/2010 11 57 PM??
how is that possible if it was only 930 PM on the east coast?

bump.

let me rephrase that so its clearer.

i installed vista on 9/24/2010 around 8:30 PM
and when i checked to see what time BOOTSECT.BAK it was around 9:30 PM, 9/24/2010.

but the the BOOTSECT.BAK created file time was 11:57 PM, 9/24/2010.

how is that possible if it was only 9:30 PM when i checked the file date of BOOTSECT.BAK?

Sorry to keep you waiting for 3 days.

Why concern about it?
Just delete it and remove it from Recycle Bin - there, nothing to be scared of anymore. :D

It's safe to delete the bootsect.bak file.
