I'm not sure if this is a Vista problem or not but I have brother MFC 240C Printer and sometimes when I start up my Laptop I have to pull out the USB cable for the printer for the Laptop to boot up, sometimes it boots up fine. Any solutions?

Have you tried a different USB cable or Port? How does System react when you just connect the Printer only after Windows Loads? Unless it is needed for business use, then do you really need to have your printer powered and connected on Boot? ;)

Thanks for the reply, no I haven't tried a different cable or port and the cable is the cable that the printer came with. I was thinking that vista was acting up since the printer is pre vista. The computer will boot up fine for a couple of weeks than it will decide not to and then I have to pull out the cable. It looks like I will have to pull out the cable all the time to ensure a boot. Thanks again.
