Boot disk failure

Update

On the system recovery options window,
It does not show an operating system.
At the bottom of the window it says,
If you do not see your operating system listed, click Load Drivers to load drivers for your hard disks.

I have downloaded motherboard drivers nforce 4 and 5 clicked on the nvstor64 icon but still don't see any operating system.
Am I missing somthing ? or is it the wrong icon?
Thanks

HI,

I have a Boot disk failure, insert system disk and press enter on my screen.

Windows Vista 64bit.
Asus M2N-E SLI ver 1
Two 500GB SATA Drives

The two sata drives are seen in the bios.
I have started up with the windows install dvd to do a startup repair, I can see and search the drives so all the folders and files seem ok.
But the drives are not seen in the window and it asks for the drivers for the drives.
I take it it is the sata drivers it wants.
I have looked on the motherboard cd and the only sata drivers are for windows XP.
It's been a long time since I installed Vista on this system, but I can't remember where the sata drivers came from, I keep thinking vista had instaled them!!!
If the drivers are on the Vista dvd how can I get them of and on to a cd.

Thanks for any help

Think thats it please ask if I forgot something.

Brian.

Check the boot options in the BIOS to ensure the HD is the first boot device and you are not trying to boot from the USB disk. This may seem simple but you will be suprised how many people make easy mistakes.
