What are you doing when the BSOD's occur?

Update these older drivers:
Code:
PxHelp20.sys Wed Oct 18 13:33:53 2006
tscomm.sys Fri Mar 09 11:34:16 2007
ATKACPI.sys Thu Dec 14 02:11:57 2006
tos_sps32.sys Thu Oct 26 04:52:11 2006
spldr.sys Thu Jun 21 20:29:17 2007
SynTP.sys Fri Apr 13 18:33:09 2007
tdcmdpst.sys Tue Oct 17 22:50:02 2006
ADIHdAud.sys Fri Mar 02 14:17:30 2007
AGRSM.sys Tue Nov 28 15:10:55 2006
Cdr4_xp.SYS Wed Aug 10 14:28:07 2005
Cdralw2k.SYS Wed Aug 10 14:28:04 2005

Uninstall your ESET NOD32 (one of the BSOD's was blamed on this). Install a free antivirus for use while testing (I like the Microsoft Security Essentials) and see if that helps the BSOD situation.

Rec'd PM requesting instructions on locating drivers.

To locate the drivers, try this:

- locate the specifications of your system.
- search Google for the driver name (xxx.sys)
- compare the results of the search with the system specs to see what you have.
- Don't worry about the stuff that says it's a virus - that doesn't apply at this stage.
- you can also right click on the driver and select Properties, then click on the Details tab. This may give you the manufacturer's name - which will help locate the program.

Once you determine what device/program has the drivers, visit the manufacturer's website to download the latest version.
If the manufacturer's site doesn't have the latest updates, then visit the PC manufacturer's website for updates.

Don't use the drivers from Windows Update - or from the "update driver software" applet. Those drivers aren't the most updated versions.

Then, if something stumps you, just post back and let us know what the issue is.

PxHelp20.sys - a CD/DVD burning program uses this
SynTP.sys - this is your touchpad
ADIHdAud.sys - this is your audio drivers

The "Update driver software" function in Device Manager doesn't give you the most updated drivers.

Please visit the website of your PC Manufacturer.

Download the latest version of the Touchpad drivers and the Audio drivers.

Uninstall the touchpad drivers and audio drivers from your system - using Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program.

Then check in Device Manager to make sure the device is removed (if not, right click on it and select "Uninstall")

Then install the drivers that you've downloaded.
