blue arrows/flags

Blue arrows have appeared on my desktop icons and ALL my save pictures. Can someone tell me how to stop them and also how to get rid of the ones that are currently there? I can't figure out where they suddenly came from.

It sounds like your shortcut arrow overlay icon has been changed to this. The tutorial below can help show you how to restore the default shortcut arrow back.
