Getting black screen at boot after i enter password.
Does not load desktop
Does the same thing in safe mode.
Made a recovery disk, did a startup fix and system restore, still same problem
My friend does not have the os disk that came with laptop
it is a compaq presario v6500
with vista home basic 32 build6001 sp1
I have access to a home premium disk but it is 64bit
